  4.    FootBALL POOL II required a minimum of CGA capability.
  5.    
  6.    The files required to run FootBALL POOL II are :
  7.            
  8.    FBXX    .EXE - This is the executable file for FootBALL POOL II.  The "XX"
  9.                   will be replaced by the last two digits of the year if you
  10.                   are a registered user.
  11.    
  12.    SCHEDULE.DAT - This is the data file that contains encoded schedule data
  13.                   for the current year.  This file changes every football
  14.                   season.
  15.    
  16.    PLAYERS .DAT - This file contains the names of all the participants in the
  17.                   pool.
  18.    
  19.    POINTS01.DAT - These files contain the player picks and game results for
  20.       thru        each of the 16 weeks of the regular football season.

  23.    READTHIS.1ST - This file.
  24.    
  25.    FBMANUAL.DOC - The text file containing the operating instruction for
  26.                   FootBALL POOL II. 
  27.    
  28.    FBINST  .DOC - A text file containing an example of the instructions that
  29.                   you may give to all of your players with their pick sheets.
  30.    
  31.    REGFORM .DOC - The form required to be a registered user.

  35.    INSTALLATION FOR HARD DISK
  36.    
  37.    Make a separate directory with any name you wish (like FootBALL) and copy
  38.    ALL the files listed above into this directory.
  39.    
  40.    INSTALLATION FOR FLOPPY
  41.    
  42.    Copy all the files listed above onto a separate disk.
  43.    
  44.    RUNNING FootBALL POOL II
  45.    
  46.    Make the drive and directory that contains all the FootBALL POOL II files
  47.    active.  (for example, type "C:<enter> and then "CD\FOOTBALL<enter>").  In
  48.    order to run FootBALL POOL II, just type "FBXX" and then <enter>.  If you
  49.    have an updated version of FootBALL POOL II, then replace the "XX" with
  50.    the last two digits of the year (example, FB88 or FB89).
  51.    
  52.    This is a BETA TEST version of FootBALL POOL II.  It contains everything
  53.    necessary to run a football pool EXCEPT that the schedule data contained
  54.    in the SCHEDULE.DAT file is incorrect for the actual season.  In order for
  55.    the program to present the proper schedule, you must have the correct
  56.    SCHEDULE.DAT file and the appropriate FBXX.EXE file.  You can receive
  57.    these files by becoming a registered user.
  58.    
  59.    There are three types of registration.
  60.    
  61.    INTRO     - As an introductory customer, you will receive an updated
  62.    version of FootBALL POOL II containing the appropriate files for the 1988
  63.    regular season.  This is all you would need to run a pool of your own. 
  64.    You will receive any updates released up to the end of the regular 1988
  65.    season.
  66.    
  67.    PREFERRED - As a preferred customer, you will receive the necessary files
  68.    for the regular 1988 AND 1989 seasons.  In addition you will receive 1
  69.    preprinted copy of the manual and the sample instruction sheet.  You will
  70.    receive any updates released up to the end of the regular 1989 season.
  71.    
  72.    DELUXE    - As a deluxe customer, you will receive all the items given to
  73.    preferred customers.  In addition, you will receive at no cost, two new
  74.    utility programs which will be available prior to the 1989 season (and
  75.    possibly in time for the 1988 playoffs).  The first is the STATS program
  76.    which will give you statistical data on how your players are doing
  77.    throughout the season.  The second is the PLAYOFF program which will run a
  78.    "tree" type pool from the playoffs through the Super Bowl.  Both of these
  79.    utilities are valid for all years and do not need to be updated.
